And today’s episcopal fashion show Bible reading is from Matthew 23:5:
“They do everything to attract people’s attention. They make their headbands large and the tassels on their shawls long.”
In the present age, with all that is going on in our world, these pictures are unreal! What are they thinking??? They look like they come from a surreal planet or some other century…a sad commentary for these men. And Jesus was such a simple, loving messiah…inclusive of all persons.
These robes indicate a “hands off” approach for sure.
How far afield our church management has strayed. How self-agrandizing they are. God help us!
This ostentation is absolutely meaningless to contemporary Catholics. Is is also contraty to the Gospel directives of Jesus Christ!
