Dear Friends,

As we approach the Fourth of July, it is once again time for me to shut-down Another Voice until at least the end of July. A number of “summer projects” await me around the house.

  1. Hello Jack,

Thanks for all the insightful reflections throughout the year. The years have not dulled your sharp edge; instead they have honed it to a fine blade that still cuts through all the layers of dross to get to the heart of the matter!

I hope that you and Joske enjoy some wonderful time off this summer. How about Brian? Where is he these days?

For me, after (too) many years in seminary life, I am back in a parish and thoroughly enjoying it. And after living in large institutions for so long, it is wonderful to have a very small house with a little vegetable and herb garden. It’s a small parish in a growing rural-but-turning-suburban area — really the best of both worlds.

Once again, have s wonderful summer … And hopefully with less rain than we are having!
